Santiago is an expert Data Scientist and Python programmer with more than 10 years of experience. In 2012, he was hired as the CTO of Athlete.com, and then fell in love with Data processing with Python. He founded RMOTR in 2015, to provide expert-level Data Science training and in 2020, joined forces with INE as a Data Science instructor.
Brian Krebs is an independent investigative reporter who writes about cybercrime at the award-winning Web site KrebsOnSecurity.com. Formerly with The Washington Post (1995 to 2009), Krebs is probably best known for breaking stories on high-profile data breaches, including those that hit Target, Home Depot, Michaels, and Ashley Madison. A frequent interviewee and public speaker, Krebs has been profiled by 60 Minutes, The New York Times, Poynter.org, and Business Week. Krebs’s book, Spam Nation: The Inside Story of Organized Cybercrime - From Global Epidemic to Your Front Door – is now a New York Times bestseller. In January 2015, the National Press Foundation announced it was awarding Krebs its Chairman's Citation, an award designed to "recognize individuals whose accomplishments fall outside the traditional categories of excellence." In October 2014, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners gave Krebs the "Guardian Award," an honor given annually to a journalist "whose determination, perseverance, and commitment to the truth have contributed significantly to the fight against fraud." Krebs graduated in 1994 from George Mason University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies.
Janelle Shane’s AI humor blog, AIweirdness.com, looks at the strange side of artificial intelligence. She has been featured in the New York Times, The Atlantic, WIRED, Popular Science, All Things Considered, and Slate. In 2019 she was named one of Fast Company’s 100 most creative people in business. Her soon-to-be-released TED talk is a funny and insightful look at the nature of machine learning algorithms. Her upcoming book You Look Like a Thing and I Love You: How AI Works and Why It’s Making the World a Weirder Place uses cartoons and humorous pop-culture experiments to look inside the minds of the algorithms that run our world, making artificial intelligence and machine learning accessible and entertaining. She received her BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University, her MPhil in Physics from the University of St. Andrews, and her PhD from the University of California San Diego.
Richard developed a passion for technology early on and graduated with degrees in Software Engineering, along with an M.B.A. from Auburn University. He then taught Java and trained on JGrasp prior to working as a Senior Developer. Later in his career he transitioned to President of a computer software company before joining INE in 2010 where he has served as CTO, COO and now, CEO.
Neal Bridges is a cyber security professional with more than 25 years of experience. He has built security teams at multiple Fortune 100 companies, developed and executed a global incident response capability, and established the USAF’s first cyber function training unit. He has since become a cyber security influencer and speaks to thousands of professionals every week.
At the age of 20, Brian earned his first CCIE in Routing & Switching, and became known as the “youngest engineer in the world.” He continued on to earn CCIE certifications in Security, Service Provider, and Data Center. He has worked for INE since 2002, helping thousands of engineers obtain their own certifications. When he is not developing new products for INE, he consults with large ISPs and enterprise customers.
Megan is a Cyber Security Instructor at INE. She is a GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), Microsoft 365 Security Administrator Associate and AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE). Megan is passionate about teaching, particularly when it comes to explaining technical topics to those without traditional tech backgrounds. She completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Digital Forensics at Champlain College, where she is now an adjunct professor for courses related to cyber security and digital forensics.
Scott is the Chief Marketing Officer at INE. He is a trained data scientist and draws on his research analytics expertise to build models that drive innovation, predict future trends and propel digital transformation. Scott earned his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), Entrepreneurship / Entrepreneurial Studies and Finance from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his Master of Arts (M.A.) in Political Science and Government from The University of California at San Diego. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from The University of Michigan.
Matias is a Data Scientist at INE, responsible for managing Data Science content development and building a Program focused on highly practical training and the holistic career development of Data Science professionals. Previously, he was Chief Content Developer at RMOTR's online Data Science Program, which was later acquired by INE. He holds a BSc in Systems Engineering and a MSc in Data Science and Big Data from the University of Madrid. He is passionate about hacking problems using data, data visualization, playing around with deep learning models and travelling.
Kathryn is the Public Relations Director at INE. She is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, and spent 2 decades working as a television news anchor and reporter for CBS News and local television stations in New York City, Baltimore, MD, Raleigh, NC and Roanoke, VA. Kathryn has covered historic events including several presidential inaugurations, the 2018 Olympics in South Korea, and she worked as a New York Stock Exchange-based correspondent during the financial recession of 2008. Kathryn graduated from The University of Georgia, and lives in Raleigh with her family.
Sunil specializes in the recruitment of analytic talent in Financial Services, E-Commerce, Retail, Healthcare, and more. Prior to recruiting, he worked at Citigroup and eBay where he was involved in many analytical projects in credit, risk management, retail and marketing for close to 10 years. He has received a B.A. in Finance and Information Systems.
The tech bug first bit Brooks in college. From there ( and after working as a chemist for one whole day), he pursued his passion for all things tech. He has more than 25 years of experience as an engineer, developer, and systems architect. The bulk of his career with the Department of Defense, on various projects working with global communication, identity replication, logistic, platform hosting, and cloud migration. Brooks' training experience spans his entire career. Over the past few years, he has personally trained hundreds of students on cloud technologies across 70+ companies nationwide. He has held numerous Microsoft certifications and was one of the first candidates successfully to pass the GIAC Secure .NET coding exam. Brooks currently holds all three Associate level certifications with AWS (Architect, Developer, and SysOps). Outside being techy, Brooks loves following his other passions of making music, painting portraits, car detailing ("Yes, it's an art!"), and most importantly, spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkiddos.
Gerald is a Chief Content Creator at an information security YouTube channel helping those in the information security field. He has more than 16 years of experience and has worked as an Information Security Analyst, Senior Information Security Engineer, Information Security Architect, and more. He has a Ph.D. in Cyber Operations and holds CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCNA, Security+, RFID+, and Certified ScrumMaster certifications.
Michael is a 17 year old high school student aiming to be the world’s youngest CCIE. He is an aspiring Network Architect, currently working on attaining the CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure Certification. Michael has worked on network infrastructure from various vendors including Cisco, Juniper, Extreme Networks and ADTRAN. He holds multiple certifications including: CCNS Enterprise and SD WAN Specialty, CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNA Routing and Switching, CMNA, CSIS, CIOS, Security+ CE, Network+ CE, A+ CE and Azure Fundamentals.
Jack is the Director of Cyber Security Content at INE. As a Marine Corps Veteran and Cybersecurity professional, his experience covers over a decade of global enterprise security operations. While he started out as a network engineer, he eventually found his stride in blue, purple, and red team operations and engineering. He is passionate about increasing the talent pool in the Information Security field and works to remove career road blocks for those trying to enter. Though his spare time is limited as a husband and father of two, he enjoys karaoke and cooking Southern style BBQ for his friends and family in Long Island, NY.
Rohit has been in the networking industry for more than 19 years, with a focus on Cisco networking for the past 17 years. In addition to his significant teaching experience, his background includes years of real-world enterprise and service provider experience. He has assisted hundreds of engineers in obtaining their CCIE certification, and has been conducting CCIE RS, CCIE SEC, CCIE SP and CCIE Collaboration for Cisco Systems worldwide. Rohit currently holds 5xCCIE’s (Routing Switching, Service Provider, Security, Voice and Collaboration).
John Hammond is a Security Researcher at Huntress as well as a cyber security instructor, developer, red teamer, and CTF enthusiast. John is a former Department of Defense Cyber Training Academy curriculum developer and teacher for the Cyber Threat Emulation course, educating both civilian and military members on offensive Python, PowerShell, other scripting languages and the adversarial mindset. He personally developed training material and infosec challenges for events such as PicoCTF and the "Capture the Packet" competition at DEFCON US. He is an online YouTube personality showcasing programming tutorials, cyber security guides, and CTF video walkthroughs. John currently holds the following certifications: Security+, eJPT, eCPPT, CEH, PCAP, OSWP, OSCP, OSCE, and OSWE.
Joe has spent the last four years across cybersecurity as the Principal Recruiting Lead with HuntSource. He is a former elementary school teacher now dedicated to helping professionals globally explore the security job market with as much information and preparation as possible. He loves the “moving target” nature of this field and truly does not consider this to be a job.
Jason Gooley CCIEx2 (RS, SP) #38759, is a very enthusiastic and engaging speaker that focuses on network design. Jason has over 25 years of experience in the industry and currently works as a Technical Evangelist for the Worldwide Enterprise Networking Sales team at Cisco Systems. Jason is very passionate about helping others in the industry succeed. In addition to being Public Speaker, Jason is a published Cisco Press Author, developer of CCIE exams, training and blogs for Learning@Cisco. Jason also organizes and is a member of the Program Committee Board for the Chicago Network Operators Group (CHI-NOG). Jason is the founder and host of @MetalDevOps which is a YouTube video show about the intersection of metal music and technology.
