CCIE
I prepared for the CCIE R&S Lab exam for almost 18 months during which I used the forum extensively and the discussions and online tutorials helped me a great deal. Looking back at my experience, possibly the best thing I could've done was to schedule a Mock Lab at INE around 30 days prior to my Lab exam. As I found out, It is really something different to configure under time pressure and in the 8 hour format. I believe this helped me to prepare for the real Lab as I already knew what to expect from a time/pressure perspective. Sometimes it's the small things that make a big difference, like planning short breaks, managing hydration, recognizing tiredness and keeping the pace while solving individual tasks and not spending too much time on any particular issue. To my colleagues preparing for the CCIE exam I always give this advice and stress the importance of the Mock Lab, and two of them passed in CCIE R&S Lab exam in previous 6 months! Finally my great thanks go to the INE team for running this website, the blog/forum and providing a simulated CCIE Lab exam experience.
