I'd like to thank the Brians for putting together a step-by-step program for the candidate who knows he/she would like to pursue the R&S CCIE, but isn't sure where to start. I used all three volumes and the CoD, and they all helped me master technologies to the point where when I finally tested, I had no fear of the technology whatsoever - I knew that as long as I read carefully they could not trick me anymore. Before I started using IE, I was puttering about, just trying to learn things on my own, and getting nowhere. Less than a year after buying the material I passed the lab on my first attempt.
