CCNP Routing & Switching -

CCNP Routing & Switching
Having completed my CCNA R&S I often got asked if I was going to study for CCNP and I always thought it would be a step too far. The time needed to successfully study for and pass 3 exams and a young family waiting at home each night. Not to mention a nagging, self doubting voice in my mind telling we I wasn't capable of achieving CCNP.

One evening I started researching study options and signed up with an online training provider who was offering a great deal for CCNP material. While I found the material a little light, I started to realize that actually I could achieve a CCNP. I talked with a colleague and he suggested I look at INE's offerings. I watched a couple of videos on YouTube and after lots of pondering I decided to give it ago and signed up during a discount offering. To be honest, I was apprehensive about spending a fairly large amount of cash on training material with other competing demands (nothing the wife would consider a competing demand, mind!) but I haven't looked back. Using INE's material with Brian and Keith's study track I managed to successfully achieve my CCNP. Did it take a lot of time? Yes, 2 years or so, but I don't regret it. Not only have I achieved my goal, I also learned much more across all Cisco tracks and I'm one of the go-to guys when stuff doesn't work.

Who knows, maybe a CCIE might not be beyond me in future years with INE by my side.
